Just a heads up, uManitoba may have a faculty strike (UMFA) soon. I'm not totally sure if this may affect admission times. I have a few friends in that program who got results around Feb-April. I hope this helps! Best of luck, and I hope you get in

Oh no! I saw those news about the strike, but didn't consider how it may affect admission times. I hope it doesn't!

I'll be honest; I just assumed I was rejected from Carleton since I haven't heard back yet! I'm just grateful I got in somewhere because I genuinely thought I was going to get rejected everywhere.

That’s true. I’m glad you heard back from some place. 
have you heard if carleton has sent out any updates? I also applied and haven’t heard anything. This is my first cycle of applying in Canada, so don’t know what to expect.

@Bxyz I just got an email from Carleton that was apparently sent to all MSW applicants. They said that applications have been reviewed and assessed, and they will be posting admissions decisions within the next few weeks!

I have just got an admission offer to UBCO-F!  First acceptance. 

I applied fairly early to their program; had all my docs in by Nov 15 or so.

Wow Congratulations!! I also applied to the same program but it was closer to the deadline. Do you remember when they said they started reviewing your application?

Has anyone heard from UWindsor yet? I applied to the 2-year, in-person MSW. It looks like last year they started sending offers around this time!

Thank you! I did not check the status at different stages. However, based on previous year's thread, I believe they do send out approvals in few batches. Good luck!

I got my acceptance today for Carleton 1 year MSW. This was coming after a rejection for Dal's part time and waiting for UWaterloo. Good luck everyone!

Hi. I applied to windsor, but the deadline was 8th of feb. Are you sure we should be hearing back this soon? Actually the deadline was 3rd I think but they moved the document submission deadline to 8th. 
(This is my first cycle of applying in Canada so not sure what to expect)

Maybe we applied to different programs? The deadline for mine was January 15th!

Hi. Congrats!! I’m also waiting to hear from carleton 2-year MSW. 
can you please share if you also received the generic email they sent yesterday, about the results being assessed and how they’ll be giving those out in the next weeks.

 I received my acceptance for Carleton 2 year MSW today! After receiving the general email all applicants received yesterday. 

Still waiting to hear back from WLU and Kings/Western MSWs. 

With the 21-day acceptance requirement is there a deposit to accept? Wondering because advice I've been given so far is to accept now and decline later if I get accepted to and decide to attend a different program.

I heard that they started sending offers for that program in early March last year. So, hopefully not too long of a wait for you either!

I haven’t heard back, no status update/email. Maybe that’s a soft rejection, but regardless I’ll wait for the email.
I’ve heard the same advise from people, accept rightnow and then opt-out later if you decide to go with another choice. That’s why I think there’s no deposit required.

I got my acceptance for Carleton University MSW 2 year stream- super grateful. With a low undergraduate GPA of 2.68- which i explained in my SOP and the only school I applied to, i proactively started applying to 4 BSW programs across Canada thinking the odds were against me. Grateful to God

Congratulations! What a relief it must be. I got an offer as well.
