Hey hey!

UK applicant here! I’ll be applying to 4 WGSS programs (Rutgers, Emory, Stony Brook & Yale combined with Anthro).

This is my first cycle. Where is everyone applying?

@Kiamia Ditto on Yale Combined WGSS, but I'm doing it with AfAm Studies. Best of luck to us both, as that is for sure a dream program!

Needless to say, I'm already losing my absolute mind. It's atrocious how anxiety makes time slow down as opposed to speeding it up lol.

I know right! I don’t know whether I’m excited or not that the deadlines are approaching now 😭

Good luck to everyone applying! It’s exciting to see the diverse programs and combinations being pursued. The anxiety is real, but we’ve got this - one step closer to the dream!

How’s it going for everyone? Did you get your apps in on time?

I ended up rethinking Emory and adding Michigan after speaking to a grad student who recommended the course. Location definitely changed that decision as I’m mainly applying to places Midwest/east coast. Also, I had a nightmare with one of my recommenders not responding at all at the last minute so I had to rush to find a cover. Two more to go now for me.

I'm just in the thick of the waiting game. It's almost January though :)
