I've been out of University for a few years so I'm only submitting this cycle for MA and MFA programs. Still working on getting my applications submitted, waiting for my last LOR writer to upload. 

So far, I've submitted to UT Austin, the University of Maryland, and Ohio State.

I am in the process of applying to several TAPS PhD programs. How is everyone doing? 

Has anyone been invited to any interviews yet?

Hey folks. I applied to Directing MFAs this year- Yale, CMU, and Northwestern. Happy to have some people to yap about it with. So far, one interview scheduled for January.

received my first rejection from UCLA; it wasn't in my email—I just randomly checked the portal and found out.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to post my updates here. I applied to 4 different PhD Theatre/Performance studies programs. The only two programs I have heard back from are Tufts and Northwestern. I have been accepted to Tufts and just completed my Northwestern interview last Friday! Fingers crossed that I hear good news. I am beginning to think I have been rejected from Brown and the University of Maryland since my statements of purpose incorporated my artistic practice and these two programs seem less interested in the actual crafting of performance. But I'll update this when I get those rejections as well.

Got rejected from UT Austin & Brown. Has anybody got any updates?

Also rejected from brown. Haven’t heard from other schools, think it’s also rejected at this point.

Rejected from Brown and Cornell. I was surprised to be rejected from Maryland's MA program as well. I don't have much hope for the other programs at this point as I haven't gotten any interviews. I have a BA in theatre, a masters degree in another field, and a clinical license, so I'm not sure what to focus on if I reapply next cycle. Maybe start an exploratory study to use as a writing sample? Or focus on the performance aspect? If anyone has any advice I'm all ears 🙂

Where did you see the rejection letter from Cornell? I applied too, haven’t heard or received anything.

rejected from UT Austin, CUNY, and Brown (they sent emails)

also, rejected from Cornell and Columbia (I emailed profs, they told me)

No more hope, amigos!
