Has anyone heard back for the IR subfield from anywhere?? All I am seeing is CP and AP.

Same here. Just got an invite to UCLA's "Political Science Preview Day." LMAO. Gotta love the audacity of these schools—expecting applicants to travel unfunded for an event without even an offer in hand.

Also, if they’re out here pulling stunts like this, you know the program is underfunded.

Can I ask what makes you say this? Is it the disorganization? Or lack of funds offered to invitees? This is the first school I've gotten into so I'm trying to make judgements of their program!

Really hoping to hear back from Brown and UMN within the next few days, though I didn't get an interview offer from Brown... I also wish UWI-Madison would give me my probable rejection already lol but it seems that they take a while after acceptances to send them out.

Does anyone know when to expect ANY decisions to start going out for these?

UMN's site says "We notify applicants about decisions in early February." However, the GradCafe results have included late January in the last few years, the same for Brown.

Meanwhile, Northwestern's decision dates for the last couple of years were late January and their site seems to say they start BY February... yet here we are we no acceptances posted for UMN/Brown/Northwestern... I feel like I'm about to have a lot of emotions tomorrow lol.

I think we should expect to hear from UMN by Monday or Tuesday at the latest. That would still be consistent with past years

Claiming a UW rejection here. Kinda surprised since I thought my stats would at least make this an easy admit for me. I guess fit really matters. (0A/1R/9P)

Was this a formal rejection or inferred? If it's the latter, I'm also assuming rejection for UW as I haven't received an interview or acceptance.

Fit matters for every program.

Also, UW is admitting a much smaller class this year—about half as many as normal because they had a larger cohort last year. I also think they may be doing multiple rounds of cuts and that this is just the first round. I interviewed with UW last week and was told I was in the “long list” and that they would be making a round of cuts this week. My application status hasn’t changed so far.

It was a formal rejection. Got an email to check my updated status in the portal and it was a rejection letter.

At the end of this cycle, you should feel lucky if you have one admission. The mindset of assuming offers should be ancient history by now......

Claiming UW rejection too, pretty poor fit, so far two rejections and one waitlist are all from poor fit Unis so I guess fit really matters. 2R/0A/1WL/17P

You applied to 20 schools?! That’s wild

Yes, since I applied to 7 and only got one non-funded offer last round, I wanted to compensate it by looking broader, while 6-8 of them are extremely poor fits as well, thus I'm assuming more rejections coming in the way. Honestly kinda waste of application fee.

I applied for 22 this year, also because of poor results from last year. Totally agree, I am literally broke for paying the fee.

that's so true, plus GRE submission fee, so unaffordable in sum

WRT Brown, I have a feeling it should be out tomorrow or in the coming week. Historically, their decisions have come out in the last few days of January. I was told after the interview that results are expected by the second week of February- but most probably earlier than that.

UCLA Polisci is known for its lack of funding. And it did not strike me that they only offered to cover the flights after some invitees called out the issue.

wow, quite observant to notice items added to the checklist lol. all checklists are different, so i don't really notice when they change unless they like disappear. but to answer your question - yes, that is now on my checklist

Anyone else apply to UCSD and still waiting to receive a decision? I'm starting to assume rejection (or at least waitlist) since numerous acceptances already went out.

Haha, as there were only 4 items for the Stanford list, quite few compared to other schools. Btw it was added 2 days ago, so I thought if it might indicate a decision. Let's see
