Sorry if this isn't the appropriate place for a question, literally made this account 5 minutes ago.

Does anybody know when UMD BISI sends emails for recruitment event in February? Had an interview on 30th December, went pretty well but it's been radio silence since and I'm scared.

I have some updates - I've been fortunate enough to get interview invites from Penn, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, UTSW, UCSF, and UW-Madison. I was accepted to UW-Madison IPiB program but the rest of my interviews are coming up (these are all programs in biophysics or biochemistry)

@tai_dex I'm sorry to hear about Case Western - I'm hoping you get off the waitlist and hear good news soon!

@unzipyourgenes Wow, these are great invites, congrats. Hope you convert more of them

I am grateful to receive interviews from UTSW, UIC, UChicago, and WashUSt.Louis. I got rejected from UT Health Houston and still waiting to hear back from Northwestern University and Baylor College of Medicine. All for cancer biology/biomedical science program.

Hi guys,

Has anyone heard back from Phd Microbial biology program Rutgers university in New Brunswick.

Also has anyone heard back from the Phd food science program in Maryland college park and the Phd Microbiology program in Ohio State University.

It has been radio silence since application closed. Has anyone even interviewed at all?

You probably have already received the invite.

They invited some of us for the February event.

No one has any update?

It's been a sea of rejections so far.

Very sure those rejections mean acceptances for many others. Share your victories!

Got a rejection from IU Bloomington for their CMCB program today. Was one of 9 interviewees.
Does anyone know if this program solely does rejection/acceptance only? I didn't get anything about a waitlist. Curious if they offer acceptance into alternative programs, like a masters. I'm a current undergraduate and was curious what the process is like.

Also, has anyone heard from Duke or Ohio State (for cancer biology)? I checked the community spreadsheet but it seems like those two haven't gotten to giving interviews yet.

I've been fortunate to receive acceptances from UTSW, UCSF, Hopkins, Harvard, and Wisconsin-Madison! I'm still waiting to hear from Penn (interviewed last Friday) and still have one more coming up (Stanford in March), but I'm really thankful for the online grad admissions communities - last year I didn't think I'd get any offers, so I don't think I could've had success this cycle without the advice shared by previous applicants!

I hope everyone else has good news of their own to share!!

I'm not sure about IU specifically, but I know a few people that emailed admissions to be considered for their masters program a few weeks back! I really think they'll be more than happy to consider your app as long as they are still reviewing masters applications - best of luck with this and your other applications!
