Does anyone know of good masters programs that would transfer well to these Ph.D programs in WV, OH, PA, MD, GA, SC, NC, VA, and D.C. areas?

What should I specifically look for in masters programs to transfer into Ph.D programs? Are M.A. and M.Ed. typically looked down upon for Ph.D programs? Are Clinical Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling masters programs the best masters programs to transfer to Clinical Psychology Ph.D programs?
