profwilliams Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Didn’t get into any of the History Ph. D programs I applied but was offered a Maters spot at Boston College (History), Columbia (American Studies), and NYU XE. But I’m looking at Simmons University’s dual masters in Archives and History. Currently an UG Classics & US History double major, worked in a library for years, interned in archives- so Simmons is very appealing. BC and Columbia are more prestigious schools, the NYU XE program is my least favorite (seems like a money grab, but still, 40% off makes me consider it). All align with my future goals. Cost isn’t the biggest factor as I may get some aid and I can afford it otherwise. I’d love to hear some thoughts on these programs- I’m particularly interested in reputation and how to consider it and prestige in my decision. Thanks!!
