I'm in the process of deciding where to transfer for the remainder of undergrad, between Brown and Williams College. My main goal is to end up somewhere that will most effectively help prepare me for applying to HYPS, Chicago, Berkley, etc for a PhD in East Asian History with a focus on China. It seems like Williams might place a bit better when adjusting for student population, but Brown has a well-regarded graduate program as well, which might open up more networking and research opportunities. Please let me know what your thoughts are, as I am having a tough time with this decision. I have reached out to professors at both institutions, and am meeting with Prof. Brokaw from Brown on Monday to discuss these very questions.
