Oakes83Phd Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I have a PhD in Physics from a federal university in Brazil. I am considering to do a validation of my Phd in US, but before I need some informations Agent profile image WES Assistant Of course, Thiago! What specific information do you need regarding the validation of your PhD in the U.S.? I'm here to help! In my PhD program, I passed one course with the minimum grade of 6 (on a scale from 0 to 10, which is the Brazilian grading system). My question is: given the variation in grading systems across countries (e.g., minimum grades of 6, 5, or 60%). could a PhD diploma be invalidated in the US based on a minimum grade that might be below the minimum passing grade used in the US? I’ve read that at the doctoral level, validation typically focuses on factors like the academic level of the qualification, the recognition of the institution, and the originality of the thesis, rather than specific grades. Is this information accurate?
