ab4166 Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Hey I'm a bioengineering undergraduate (bioinformatics emphasis) and I go to UCSD. I'm trying to decide between staying at UCSD or going to JHU (both for PhD). I've been torn for the past month, any advice???? Thanks

Thanks JHU hands down ... you should go to a different university for your PhD .. varied academic experience is always preferred in an academic's CV

greenpapaya Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 A varied academic background would be great. I decided not to apply to my undergrad for grad school mainly because of that reason. You "exhaust your resources" as my research director has said. I agree. Besides, JHU sounds sooo impressive!
