Hey

I'm a bioengineering undergraduate (bioinformatics emphasis) and I go to UCSD. I'm trying to decide between staying at UCSD or going to JHU (both for PhD). I've been torn for the past month, any advice????

Thanks :)

JHU hands down ... you should go to a different university for your PhD .. varied academic experience is always preferred in an academic's CV

That's a good point, plus it's JHU!. If I got in there I'd definitely go there.

A varied academic background would be great. I decided not to apply to my undergrad for grad school mainly because of that reason. You "exhaust your resources" as my research director has said. I agree. Besides, JHU sounds sooo impressive!
