saurabh83 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 (edited) HI All, I want to pursue higher studies in development studies in US or Europe (US is the preferred destination), in fall 2011. The questions that are bothering my mind are: 1. What are the career options and job opportunities after doing masters in development studies? 2. What will be the prospects of getting a H1B in the kind of jobs that I will get after such a course? 3. Will it be better to go for a masters first or PhD? Given that I am not very keen to work for a non-profit but would prefer a job that would give an opportunity for further research, preferrabaly an academic assignment. Further, I would be thankful if anybody can suggest me on to which schools I should apply for. any help shall be appreciable. thanks, saurabh. Edited February 9, 2011 by saurabh83
coffeem8 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 If you're more interested in academic work, definitely pursue a Ph.D. right away if you can.
