Japanese history

Who here is applying to history programs for Japanese history? If so, what's your time period/topic of study? I'm curious about who else is applying where and for what, since the field is relatively small. I'm applying for late medieval Japanese history myself. It was a pain to find programs with good specialists!

I am applying to Japanese history as well, focusing on Tokugawa period especially.

I haven't heard from any of my schools except a rej from Yale : (

Do you know if Harvard has made all final decisions yet?

Thanks! If I'm not mistaken, someone on another thread said that Harvard wasn't done making its offers yet. But I applied to the HEAL program, not History, so I'm not sure what's being talked about. What do you do in Edo history?

I focus on Heian and Kamakura period, though I only have one application left in a history field (Michigan); everything else is in East Asian since my approach is really interdisciplinary.
