On the other side, I am going to have great pure Math professor in University of Missouri (Functional Analysis field). It is worth mentioning that both schools are with descent fund. I know nothing about either of these math programs, or anything abut Missouri, but I vote UBC because I went there hahaha! If there is anything you want to know generally about UBC/Vancouver I'd be glad to answer!

Ya,, UBC,,, big concern is the chance of getting into any US institution after graduation out of a PhD program in Canada. Does that partially guarantee the chance somehow?!!! Thanks any way ... Cheers...
Vacuum Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Of course you could! It is not like U.B.C. is a tiny, unknown school. I quickly looked up the math department and found this list of past grad students. The last column says 'where they are now' and a bunch of them have ended up in the States, as well as other countries. You can check it out to give yourself some reassurance. http://www.math.ubc.ca/Grad/gradAlumni.shtml I think Vancouver would be more along the lines of scenery you are used to in CO when compared to Kansas City.....just sayin'.
