Whoops - yes, I noticed there was an art history subforum after I posted this and spent a good deal of time trying to figure out how to move this topic, but didn't seem to be able to

No I graduated from UCLA, so I know how awful the UC system is doing lately, especially with $500 million cut from the UCLA budget alone this past month! I do love Berkeley, though, and there is a professor there whom I would love to work with, but I just can't afford it.
