Ph.D. Graduate Research Assistantship openings in Biological Engineering

Applications are invited for Graduate Research Assistant positions to join the Biological Engineering Department and interdisciplinary research projects focusing on neurons, astrocytes and endothelial cells (neurodegenerative diseases). These projects are funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Successful candidates will be exposed to the fields of cell mechanics, biomaterials and molecular biology. Qualification:

Candidates should have (or about to receive) a MS degree in Biomedical /Chemical /Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (including Biochemistry, Biological Science, Biomedical Science, Physics and Biophysics) and should be eligible to enroll in the Ph.D. program in the Biological Engineering Department at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Outstanding applicants with BS are also considered. Compensation includes full tuition coverage and a competitive stipend payable in 12 installments.
