rarify Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I am interested in Biochemistry and Biophysics especially in single molecule analysis. Also, I like studying disease mechanisms using model systems. I expect to have a Master degree before next fall and might have a one publication (impact factor might be around 5). My GPA in undergrad is 3.88/4.0, and will be around 3.8/4.0 for Master. GRE score is 650(V), 800(Q) 3.5(W). I am an international student. There are so many schools, and I have no idea where I have to apply. Anybody has suggestions?
Bukharan Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Your stats are good. Those kind of stats can get you anywhere really. What matters at this stage is your 'fit' with the school. I am not in your field so I cannot even suggest the schools you should be looking at. You need to, first, outline what your very specific academic interests are. Then, find the faculty who specialises in that kind of stuff. Through them, you will have a list of schools you should be applying to. But your stats are good! So it's all about SOP now.
