LostinBlauSpace Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I submitted a paper for ASA in Las Vegas this year, and have not heard back. I know of some people who got accepted to present in sessions, but don't know about rountables yet. Has anyone gotten a paper accepted (or rejected) from a roundtable? My paper still says "Under Review at [Name of Second Choice Session]" Is anyone else still waiting to hear back from ASA?

readyforachange Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Some sections complete their reviews earlier than others. I believe March 18 is the deadline to get reviews in, so you have a little more time. I would definitely hold off on contacting the session organizers until then.
barilicious Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I was e-mailed earlier this week that I was accepted for a Sexualities roundtable. However, each section is ran by someone different, so I'd give it until the end of next week. If it makes a difference my status says Reviews Completed - Awaiting final decision.
LostinBlauSpace Posted March 11, 2011 Author Posted March 11, 2011 Thanks all. By contacting the organizers, I learned that my first session choice organizer had never officially "rejected" the paper, so it was never available to my second choice or to the round table organizer. The second choice session is already full, but at least I should now make it to the roundtable.
