Sanad Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Hi! I am a medical graduate who has a career interest in immunology. I have been in touch with imperial college london and they encouraged me to apply to their immunology phd program for this year. As i have minimal lab experience, they agreed to let me work in their lab under the Head of department to gain some much needed lab experience. Here's my question. After a PhD, what are the career prospects of a PhD immunologist? Industry? Academia? Anyone in the PhD or masters program in immunology who could guide me? What is the pay like after PhD? Am I better off going the medical route? Your opinions will be much appreciated.
