My daughter applied to 4 Veterinary schools and was offered admission to 2 (bottom 2 on her list - one in-state) and wait-listed for her top 2 selections. These are just offers, with no financial information given. All veterinary schools have an April 15th due date for acceptance. She is more interested in the out-of-state school than the in-state one. My problem with this is the cost - over 4 years it would run over $80k more than the in-state. Unless she hears from the other 2 schools before April 15th, she will accept one of these offers. A friend suggested that she accept both offers and see what the financial package looks like. My daughter has a problem with this and I guess I do to. Doesn't seem quite right, but it sure would help to know how much financial aid she'll get.

Also, what can she do if she's offered admission at one of the other schools after April 15th? She really would prefer to attend one of the other schools, but her main focus is to get into vet school!
