email potential advisor and ask him to hurry?

I have been in touch with a faculty member who was interested in me and has asked me to wait to see if he can offer an assistantship. Its april end though and im tired of waiting!!! I have no more admits and this is my final chance... the dept will grant me an admit only if i get an assistantship even though its for a masters..

Can i email him and ask him to hurry? how would i word it??

Being an international student I need to make visa arrangements and all.. and the wait is getting on my nerves!!

I think you should politely ask him/her by when he/she will be able to inform you about assistantship. You should also mention that you need ample time for processing the visa
