peachxxo
GUYS! Make sure you give in your acceptances ASAP. I just noticed mine was dated March 14th which means my last day to accept is TOMORROW even though I only physically received the letter last week. I totally had to rush this morning to get it express posted.
Sagan
Ummm... I checked with OISE Graduate Admissions and they said for folks living in Canada, the last acceptance date is April 4th, not March 28th! So chill you guys! Nonetheless, I'm sure peach was just looking out for us all, so thanks for caring bud! Also, I decided to accept the MA program! So see ya'll in September! Cheers! MisiaMagda
When I was in the process of deciding whether to apply in my 4th year, the person I was communicating with at OISE said I could apply again the following year or just wait until the following year and apply (which is what I did - I'm in my 5th year) and use my grades from 4th year instead of 3rd year. So there's no harm in applying again next year. There's always hope! I'm also in my fifth year of undergrad, not by choice, though. I couldn't graduate last year even if I wanted to because I switched programs when I was in second year and had a poopy term a couple of years ago. I really hope they wouldn't look at that and be like "Oh look she's changing majors, she did poorly that semester, she's dumb, etc" and disregard me. I've been doing so much better, especially this current term (like B+ to A- range). If i don't get accepted to anything this year (BEd or CSE or MT) then I will apply to all of those again next year for sure. However, I'm not sure if my chances next year would be any better, as I hear they are cutting down admission even more and expecting more from us. Not sure if this applies to MT and CSE, or just the BEd's. EDIT: if I was to get into a BEd this year, I'd have to decide if I want to go with that, OR decline the offers and try again for CSE/MT next year. then again, I don't know how far off I am from being accepted this year, yknow? like if my marks, for example, are completely out of the range, or my statement wasn't sophisticated enough, etc. Edited March 27, 2014 by MisiaMagda
Sagan
Hey MisiaMagda, You can always call and ask the program liaisons of the programs you applied to, where you fell short. They can give you an idea of how to buff up your application for the next time you apply! This way you have a general idea of how better your prospects are going to be or if you should accept that BEd now, if you got in. Hope you find the choice that best suits you! Cheers! Im currently wait-listed for 2/3 BEd programs (one being OISE BEd). For MT/CSE, it still says 'Under Review'. I thought that the results would be posted by now?!
