Hi,

I am in quite a dilemma now as I have got admits in Purdue and TAMU for Comp Arch. Both are unfunded admits. Purdue is the better ranked one but the Comp Arch department is not all that great except for a few exceptional professors but again it is very costly...

Now TAMU is a decent option which is cheaper than purdue and the fact of being in Texas is a great advantage...

From a Masters prespective which one is better??

As far as I know, no one at TAMU does traditional computer architecture - there may be a few professors working on embedded systems and such - which are somewhat related to computer architecture. Purdue on the other hand has some very good professors working in this area. I think your decision should be based on how interested you are in computer architecture and what your career goals are.
