i.am.me Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Hi all, I've just been granted provisional admission into a Master's program and have a question about financial aid. Am I eligible for federal loans though I am not a full graduate student? What about assistantships through the school? My hunch says "yes" to the former, but "no" to the latter. ...but the university the policy and procedures have caught me by surprise a couple of times.

My hunch says "yes" to the former, but "no" to the latter. ...but the university the policy and procedures have caught me by surprise a couple of times. I was admitted to my program "conditionally" and received both financial aid AND a TA. However that being said I had to work extremely hard to get the TA...I pretty much made it my top priority (i.e. I met with the chair of the graduate committee and the department, the lab coordinator at our school and convinced them that I deserved funding) My grades sucked but the rest of my record was solid so if you're in the same boat then it is totally doable it just may take a little more work
i.am.me Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 Financial aid in the form of loans? I'm pretty mediocre.
