Stanford EE MS/PhD

I am considering accepting Stanford EE MS/PhD program but I have some doubts about quals and courseqork of Stanford. For the quals, I have read it has low pass rate of %50, there are a wide range of subjects and it might be insignificant if you have a professor supporting you. Is anyone have more information about the quals, for instance old qual exam questions would be much valuable. About the coursework of Stanford EE, I have heard that you should take around 15 courses during MS and 10 more during PhD. Is it true and comparing to other universities is it a really heavy load or beneficial?
