Radian Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Hello every one, I have been recently admitted to both Arizona State University and SUNY Stony Brook. The two of them have offered me a MSc degree. According to the USNEWS, they are standing on the same level : 37. According to the NRC, ASU has been ranked 16 and Stony brook 23. Well, since my offer from Stony Brook is somehow older, I am pretty familiar with its positive points. I know that they have connection with several national labs such as BNL working simultaneously with MIT, Columbia, Princeton and Cornell. But my information about ASU is quite little. The only positive point about ASU that I am aware of right now is the fact "Tempe" is a better place for a graduate student to live. Moreover, housing and accessibility is more convenient at ASU in contrast to Stony Brook. If there is anyone who has first hand experience and can give me clues on which offer to choose, I really appreciate the help. PS. Funding is not important to me. I am seeking a program to provide me good opportunities for applying to a good PhD program afterward. Regards, Arash
UniformlyDivergent Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 I'm sorry that you didn't receive any feedback on this. I'd be curious, though, what you ended up going with. Would you be willing to update?
