As we all know, picking the best one is step one. Looking at MFA programs for Fall 2012, particularly around L.A. (favorite) and Chicago or in the desert (NM?). Nomadic practice (Seoul, L.A., Travel, Knoxville) for 2-3 yrs/ settled in Atlanta now. Taught ESL for two years, intermediate Spanish speaker. My painting mentor is Kristin Calabrese. Major influences include Sally Mann, Hans Bellmer, Julie Heffernan, Nan Goldin. Type A art student (Summa Cum Laude,University of TN, BFA 2006) I'd like to go somewhere academically and technically challenging with good connections Intuitive, labor-intensive artist. Myth/Actual dichotomy/Tiny Heroics/Antics. karleysullivan.com 1. Please look and offer any advice regarding painting and photography programs with LOTS of grants and scholarships. "I'm so broke, hard-working, and talented, sheesh!" 2. I'm a photographer and painter (paintings are made from the photos). It seems like the two don't meet when it comes to picking a department, any opinions? Best Regards, Karley Sullivan p.s. I love the warm weather, it's a factor. Edited April 23, 2011 by Karley
