Kitsune Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 (edited) Greetings, I am currently a senior finishing a BA in Economics and minor in Sociology at Cal State University East Bay. I wont be graduating until Fall 2011 and have not taken the GRE yet, which I plan on doing this summer. Furthermore, my GPA is likely to improve as I have four courses in progress (of which I am doing well in) and will be taking two more courses in Fall. Nonetheless, I am curious about my chances of being accepted into the Political Science MA program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I have not been able to find any information on the average GPA of successful applicants for this specific program, so I am hoping someone on this board has some knowledge, experience or advice for applying to UMass Amherst in political science. Ultimately I would like to apply for a PhD program in Political Science, but I figure my GPA is too low to apply directly for the Doctorate program. GPA: 3.01 GRE: N/A, taking it this summer I have a few professors who can give me solid letters of recommendation, but I have not published any independent research. Thank you in advance.
