Through this conference, students will explore the range of current and future energy resources, issues in energy conversion and storage technologies, the potential for improved energy efficiency and behavior, energy markets, energy finance and policy, the geopolitics of energy and national security, environmental justice, and greenhouse gas reduction. Additionally, students will learn how Stanford builds sustainability practices and innovation into every aspect of campus life, from operations and buildings to student life, teaching, and research.

Lunches and dinners will be a fun time for enrichment and building long-lasting cross-campus connections among the students, faculty, and staff. Mealtimes will include special speakers, and dinners will rotate among different campus locations to orient students to places at Stanford with strong energy curriculum and research. It is our hope that participants will become quite familiar with Stanford's energy programs, and may immediately begin to engage with other energy students, faculty, staff, and communities.

The deadline to apply online is June 15, 2011. Space is limited, so apply today at: http://sgsi.stanford.edu/courses_11/energy_11.html
