navyblue Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Hi all, I need your advices about acceptance to MA in Economics. I got my first degree from out of United States with 2.43 GPA (BA in economics) and I was (and of course still) very passionate about grad school so I decided to get a second degree in JMU to offset my first awfull GPA. I am completing my second degree in Psychology (also, I took some economics courses like international economics, advanced econometrics..etc) with 3.5 GPA. I also took GRE (750 quantative,600 verbal). Do you think I have a chance to get acceptance schools like GWU or Georgetown? What are your advices for me? Thank you very much in advance.

You might be able to get in as MA admissions are not super rigorous, however I would strongly suggest taking more math to be successful. At least Calc III and Linear (matrix) algebra.
