barbara8715 Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Hi, I got 1200 in GRE, 420 in verbal and 780 in quantitative. I was wondering whether my verbal score is too low to even be considered for admission to the program of economics by graduate schools such as the University of Southern California. Also, most likely I will take the GRE again. I would like to know how do graduate schools view the action of taking the GRE twice? How would that affect my chances of getting an offer from the department of economics? Any help appreciated
zernike Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Hi,your vebal score acctually made it hard to apply for Top 50 universities. But it is still hopeful to try for the Top 100. And I do not advise you take another GRE exam because most Admission Committe believe than the logical capacity reflected by GRE generally will be remain relatively stable. So if you make a giant prograss in another exam, they will think you must take some action to achieve such a leap than make it unbelievable. Good luck
