Yes I took the GRE but it will be 5 years in September so I guess I'd better send my scores NOW so I don't need to pay to take it again... let alone take it again! Its also out there; so if you are looking for more exposure to visiting artists, etc. this might not be exactly the right place. Its worth a shot. clem09 Posted November 21, 2011 Share Posted November 21, 2011 stanford is fully funded at stanford. rare to find a fully funded art program. it's still in its infancy and its general rep is probably a big draw. palo alto is tech central - i just would feel so far removed from all the vibrancy of sf/oakland/berkeley down there. losemygrip Posted November 24, 2011 Share Posted November 24, 2011 Pretty much all reputable programs have SOME full funding slots available. The question is whether ALL admits get full funding. Some schools have moved to that model; some haven't. I suspect Stanford is in that model, and that's what you're referring to. The way to do it is to apply to a range of schools, and then go to the one that offers the best package. You might not get in at Stanford, but might get full funding at CSULB.
