robbrown Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 (edited) Hi all, I am an undergraduate EE student looking for some info about stanford admissions. specifically how my past grades (over ten years ago) will affect my admissions chances. When I first attended college right out of highschool I did very poorly. I am currently attending OIT in oregon and have a 3.86 cumulative gpa for my junior and senior level classes, and a 3.1 GPA in my engineering transfer from community college. my cumulative GPA @ OIT, which includes transfer classes transfered from when I attended over ten years ago, is 3.12. My concern is that when I go to calculate my overall gpa for my entire academic career starting in 1997 it is exactly 3.0, and my technical gpa is 3.17 (classes taken over ten years ago are counted in these, which drag both GPA's down). I have not taken the GRE yet, and would be applying through the SCPD program because i work as an MT at Intel. So say i score well on the gre (780 + on qual) does anyone have any speculation on my chances at getting accepted as an MSEE student? Edited July 16, 2011 by robbrown
