Iam applying this fall for applied linguistics or SLA MA program. Apart from the program per se and the location and others, funding would be the first concern for me. I have searched the Internet and looked up several schools but I cant find how much funding they actually offer MA students. Anyone who has been accepted into Applied Linguistics or SLA MA program? How is the funding there? Thanks.

Thanks! Although it doesnt say much about the scholarships, it does help me a lot in sorting out the schools! Thanks again!

I don't know too much about applied linguistics, but maybe you can find helpful information on the Linguist List?

Sorry this is a little late, but I'm currently a Second Language Studies (basically Applied Linguistics) student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Funding is very competitive here and not very abundant because of statewide financial problems. I was lucky enough to get some funding from another department, which is always an option. I also applied to UPenn's MA TESOL (not exactly what you're looking for, but similar) and received funding there, but it was a more expensive private school and funding didn't quite cover a lot of costs. I would also say, MA students tend to get less funding than PhD students, unfortunately.

Hi I have taken Linguistics in my undergrad studies...but I'm planning to take International Studies for my MA, do you know any schools that offer scholarships for this course?
