I am considering strongly considering applying to different IR masters programs this fall (for fall 2012), my top choice is Johns Hopkins SAIS. I am also thinking about applying to Fletcher, SIPA, and the GW Elliott school. I graduated in December 2010 and am still quite young compared to the "average candidate" on most schools' websites.

Here is what I have going for me:

- 3.5/4 in Econ and Poli Sci from a world Top 20 school

- co-founded and worked for an NGO in South America two years that works in education and econ dev ; grown to have 4 programs, I take a lead or very central role is every program, publication, and in new project development

- Published various journal articles, spoken at a conference, invited author on a intl dev. website

- fluent english/spanish

- my parents both graduated from the same program (not the reason for wanting to go!)

-GREs pending...

What do you think? is it worthwhile applying this year or better to wait?
