dongfang0109 Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I know this is a very broad question, but I'm just wondering what options there are for a grad with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, besides Master's and PhD programs in MechE. I'm thinking to go to grad school, but want to work in industry eventually. Any suggestions? GRE: 1490 (Q800 + V690 + W4) GPA: 3.9/4.0 Will graduate from a Top 20 US University next year
ktel Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I'm not sure what you mean. You could find a job pretty easily with just a Bachelor's degree, if industry is what you want. If you really want to do grad school, you're not totally limited to MechE grad programs. Because MechEs typically learn a lot of different fields, you are open to more post-grad opportunities. This will depend on any research experience you get (which you should be getting now, by the way). You could go into biomedical or aerospace, for example.
