imogen Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Just starting to research this now, but thought I'd throw the question out there--are there any MFA programs that incorporate or allow you to simultaneously take courses (maybe a certificate?) in curatorial or museum studies? I don't want to go the Art History route, but would like to work that aspect into my studies somehow.
michaelwebster Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 SAIC allows MFA students to take curatorial classes in the Arts Administration dept.
truthbetold Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 apply to curatorial internships at museums (no grad degree required for that level)
Childofcalamity Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Hi Imogen, you might want to check out Bard's Center for Curatorial Studies program. I've heard good things about it and actually have a friend who's just starting off there now.Hope this is helpful
