ah233 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Heyy..just wanted to know how selective is UBC compared to middle/upper middle ranked US universities..e.g: Texas A&M , SUNY-Stony Brook, Univ of Notredam ...etc ?? Will apply this fall [fall 2012]...for Ph.D in chemistry....nd was pretty impressed by work by a couple of Theoretical Chem profs in UBC...... I am an international studnt frm India.......PLZZ REPLY GUYS ....
ktel Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 UBC is up there as one of the top universities in Canada for grad school (along with U of T and McGill). Seeing how it is arguably one of the top 3 universities, I would imagine it is fairly competitive. Do you have a Master's already? Direct entry to a PhD program is a lot less common in Canada.
