chandru Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 hey everybody, I'm a 4th year engineering student from India, about to enter my 4th year that is. I would like to pursue an MS in the US,I attempted the GRE,780 in quant and 720 in verbal. From reading around the forum I've realised that GRE score isn's the the most important factor taken into consideration when it comes to admission into the best grad schools. My academics are ok,not that great I feel.I'm currently pursuing a engineering degree in telecommunication and my CGPA is 7.7/10. I've interned at Texas Instruments and thats probably one of the stronger points in my profile I initially had a problem deciding what my area of interest would be in the domain of electrical engineering. I realised I would be most interested in embedded systems and have decided that my final year project for my degree would be in that area.I haven't done any research or published any papers.People I speak to say I should apply for the coming fall session but i'm skeptical about my chances.I felt I could take a year's break either to work or to strengthen my profile and apply for the 2013 fall intake.I would really like to target the coming fall intake but not sure if that's good idea..any suggestions? thanks in advance Chandru
