Gooey Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Hello all, For one of my seminars this semester we are being asked to identify an assessment project, which we will carry out and write up as a conference presentation. The project can relate to ideas of program evaluation, evidence of student learning, etc. Anyone with any thoughts/ideas on this as to what would be a good direction to start in?
runonsentence Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Are you teaching? That can jump start some good assessment ideas. Anything that you're teaching that's very specific? For instance, I just saw a conference presentation (well, roundtable) on developing rubrics for assessing multimodal projects. What about your grading practices? I've seen papers and presentations on student-developed rubrics, or on private vs. public feedback.
