Gooey Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I'm currently getting ready to embark on a writing assessment project based on the premise of "Professors vs. TAs" in the English 101 classroom. Which students are coming out with higher grades? What are the rubrics being used and how do they vary, etc. I'd really appreciate the help if someone could point me to some good research articles debating this issue. Thanks in advance!!!
truckbasket Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Sounds fascinating. Although I don't know any specific articles, the Chronicle of Higher Ed. probably has some good stuff buried within its pages, and you might want to go after the Rhet/Comp and Writing Center crowd on JSTOR or in their own association rags. Good luck!
runonsentence Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 (edited) Try looking in CompPile or search the WPA-L archives. Second the rec to look at the Chronicle, or also try Inside Higher Ed. Both regularly publish on issues related to contingent faculty in the university at large. Edited September 9, 2011 by runonsentence
