So my CV/resume is a bit skimpy. Since I just finished undergrad, though, I’m not too worried about it. Still, I’d like to include as much legitimate information as possible. I’m wondering what others think about including awards/fellowships/grants for which I was a finalist but did not actually receive. During college, I applied for a couple of research grants, made it to the final round of interviews after a competitive application process, but was not ultimately selected. Would including something like this on my CV/resume hurt my application since it’s technically a rejection? Or would it show some initiative and involvement in the field?
