laosheep Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Hi everyone: For example I'm a foreigner, and my native language is Chinese. My GRE verbal is only 570 and aw only 4, is that a fatal flaw? Of course my quantity section is 800. May the requirement of the GRE verbal section be a little lower or looser for foreign students? What can I do for that? Best wishes Kai

orst11 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 You should be okay. Have you taken the TOEFL? A good score on the TOEFL can reassure that you are competent in English, even though a 570 on the GRE verbal isn't too bad.
laosheep Posted October 30, 2011 Author Posted October 30, 2011 I would have a master in U.S. then, so I don't need TOFEL. Although my TOFEL is not bad,106, internet based, which is taken 2 year ago.
orst11 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 If you have an okay graduate gpa, and to a lesser extent if you have an okay undergraduate gpa, you should be okay. Focus now on your SOP.
