cg988 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I am a French student and I am applying to several doctoral programs in political science. I just got my GRE scores : Verbal: 163 (93th percentile) Quantitative: 161 (86th percentile) AW : 4.0 (48th percentile) Obviously my writing is significantly worse than the other two. How much will this score hurt my chances to get accepted? Did anyone get accepted to a political science doctoral program with the same AW score? Thank you, Christian cg988 1
emmm Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 A 4.0 is fine for the writing score -- you are essentially at the average score, which is quite good for a non-native speaker of the language. Combined with your strong verbal score, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
kaykaykay Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) read some of the posts of adcoms at the poli sci forum. some schools do not even take a look at the AWA scores international student or not.(and no one cares) Edited November 12, 2011 by kalapocska
