I graduated four years ago in a large business/commerce undergrad program. Due to the nature of the course work, I had limited interaction with profs outside of class. Even in my final year of undergrad, my classes were still fairly large and few profs even knew my first name. At the time, I had not considered grad school and now, after working for a few years, I am looking to return for a Masters.

In retrospect, I should have been more involved in the faculty, but really lacked interest... Anyways, I have an acceptable average, and fairly good extra/curric/work experience. However, I NEED 2 LOR's from Professors for the specific program I want to take.

Is my situation normal? Should I email past professors to request a meeting, try to remind them of who I am by bringing in past course work, and my CV, and request a LOR based on what I've given them "on paper"? Do professors write LORs for people they barely know as long as I provide them with all the "details" of academic/non-academic life? It sounds pathetic, but I'm not sure what else I can do at this point.

Do your applications state that both your reference letters must come from professors? Because it would make sense for one of those letters, at least, to come from employers, since you seem to be applying to business programs.
