jambrose Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Hi all! I'm new to the forum, and am in the midst of working on applications. I'm applying to the International Development programs at Korbel, Elliott, and SIS, and the programs seem pretty similar. I was wondering if there are any major differences I've missed. Is there anything that makes one better than the others? Also, I understand all 3 are considered good schools - is one more highly regarded, or more competitive, than the others? Thanks!
yo_yo86 Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I am in the middle of application now (and procrastinating). From my impressions, it goes Elliott > SIS > Denver. Elliott has a stronger name than SIS in DC, and both are in DC, which gives you greater access to intern/work/volunteer during the school year when everyone else is in Boston, NYC, Denver, etc. Elliott is also more competitive than SIS and Denver.
