dt2012 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I asked one of the professors to write me a recommendation letter which he thankfully agreed to. I then withdrew his name from the application and re-edited to another recommender, thinking that I had already missed out on the application deadline and assuming that the professor didn't send the recommendation per University deadline. I got an email from the professor inquiring for the reason I withdrew the request. I felt embarrassed about the whole situation and emailed an apology stating misunderstanding of situation. Has anyone been in the same position?. Appreciate any feedback.!
emmm Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Saying you did it by accident, thanking him for pointing it out, fixing it so that he's back in the system, and apologizing seems sufficient. Mishaps are not all that unusual.
