yuliaa Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Hello, Could any one tell me a bout one year MS/Msc Sociolog in US? never mind the ranking of the university ,,
ThisSlumgullionIsSoVapid Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 It will take longer than 1 year. People who major in Sociology and go to get a MA in sociology typically take about 2 years. Reading your other thread you said you majored in something else, you'll probably be required to take some courses that undergrad's would take in addition to the typical masters work.
allhandsonthebadone Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 There is the MAPPS program at the University of Chicago which is one year and has been very helpful for people trying to get into the top programs. It's usually offered as a consolation prize for those who don't get into the PhD program. I don't think either program is easy to get into.
Darth.Vegan Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Columbia, Boston College and The New School offer an MA in Sociology.
