Seanish Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) Georgetown wants a 750 word "scholarly essay" based on a question in their application. Would this include footnotes or other references? It seems very short for that kind of detail. Anyone else applying/applied? Edited January 13, 2012 by Seanish
superfluousflo Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I doubt that it would include footnotes in that word count, but emailing the department couldn't hurt.
Jahiliyya Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I would not view it as a strict limit. As long as the essay is approximately 750 words/3 double-spaced pages, you are unlikely to have a problem. My analytical essay was slightly over 750 words, not including footnotes, and I was accepted last year.
