UC Davis Art Hist MA - Invited to see campus

I just got an email inviting me to see UC Davis campus from the MA Art Hist contact. They said that they would comp me for my airfare and pay for one night in a hotel for me. I'll get to sit in on a class and have a dinner w/ current grad students and professors. Does this mean I'm basically in?

Not necessarily. It sounds like a combination interview and perspective student visit. It's a very good sign, certainly; but to be safe I would treat it as an interview (still "selling" yourself) until you're explicitly told otherwise. Congratulations, anyway!
