I was wondering what schools everyone has heard from so far, with either good or bad news? I've heard from the following: University of Washington, University of Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, UC Berkeley, and Columbia (in that order). I'm still waiting to hear from Harvard (pretty sure it will be a no), Northwestern, and Stanford.

I wish these schools would notify us in a more timely manner! I'm trying to plan trips to visit the schools I've been accepted to, but I don't want to schedule them yet in case I do get accepted to Harvard, Stanford, etc. and the visitation weekends overlap. The schools make this process more difficult than it needs to be :/

Chemistry Fall 2012 thread has this sort of info if you're willing to sift through what has now reached 400 posts lol

congrats on your acceptances so far! if you wouldn't mind, how/when did you hear from Columbia, and what field did you apply under?

Oh sorry haha. I'm new here so I didn't know.

Thank you! I just heard from Columbia two days ago. They sent me an email telling me I had been accepted and included information about the visiting weekends. I applied to their Chemistry PhD program.

Did you hear from Harvard or Stanford yet?

I have not heard from either. And I meant organic/inorganic/physical/etc. I was able to connect the dots on the Chem PhD program haha

Well some people on here are ChemE so I was confused hehe.

I applied to organic and biological chemistry programs.

This Harvard thing is killing me. Someone told me once that they never heard from Harvard until after they had their visiting weekend so they knew they were going to be rejected. That's so cruel! A huge part of me hates Harvard for being so elitist, but I can't help but love them for being so amazing at everything...sigh...
